The 80th International Motor Show in Geneva, to be held in early March, will reveal the 2010 IED Tesla EYE Concept, a futuristic concept car designed by students of Master of Arts in Transportation Design of L ‘Istituto Europeo di Design of Turin in collaboration with an electric car manufacturer Tesla Motors.
EYE derives from a research on the identity of Tesla to meet a new goal to design a car with captivating features and sporty performance. EYE is the work of the eleven students of the Master, coordinated by Luca Borgogno, Senior designer Pininfarina and Andrea Militello, Senior designer FIAT under a supervision of Franz von Holzhausen, Chief Designer of Tesla Motors. The EYE concept stems from the desire to test the skills of young designers and find out their vision of the future. Eye was also made possible by the support of Pirelli and OZ Racing.
Besides the EYE Concept, IED Turin also presented the Jeep Pygmy of Vasiliy Kurkova, a work by student of II year based on the platforms and values of the Fiat Panda Cross 4×4.
