This version perfectly emphasises the SLK Roadster’s wedge-shape and fits under the serial body with only little reworking. A basic prerequisite for this, however, is that the car is lowered by about 30 mm – not only for the perfect visual impression, but also to ensure the required wheel cover.

To top everything off, the SLK R171 Performance RS programme must of course include popular accessories such as the aerowings for the hood, the comfort vario roof module with “one touch function” and the possibility of opening or closing the roof at up to 60 km/h, the “must have” power converter for perceptibly improved acceleration and a more dynamic reaction and small attributes such as door pins with high-quality aluminium. The real glass wind deflector with perforated inserts for the roll-bar are necessities as well, since it not only enables a clear view to the rear but also reduces air vortices in the interior to a minimum and offers an optical contribution to the overall package.

2010 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG F1 Safety Car



Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG F1 Safety Car, debuted at the new Formula-1 season in Bahrain last month, was claimed to be the most spectacular and powerful Official F1™ Safety Car of all time. The gullwing model, launched on 27 March 2010, had replaced the SL 63 AMG, which was used as the Official F1™ Safety Car in 2008 and 2009 seasons.

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG has a unique vehicle concept in ensuring outstanding driving dynamics; the aluminum space-frame body keeps the vehicle weight down to 1620 kilograms (DIN kerb weight). Powered by 6.3-liter V8 engine that produces a peak output of 420 kW (571 hp) and a maximum torque of 650 Nm, the gullwing model can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. Moreover, thanks to the dry-sump lubrication system that enables the AMG V8 powerplant to be installed very low down, the vehicle’s center of gravity has beneficially lowered.



As the standard-production SLS AMG, the Official F1™ Safety Car features the same engine, power transmission, suspension and brake system. Compared to the standard-production SLS, the AMG F1 is distinguishable on the outside by its prominent F1 logos, carbon-fiber exterior mirrors and the characteristic roof light bar with integrated TV camera. It sits on an all-new carbon-fiber hood whose shape has been tested in the wind tunnel to ensure optimum airflow at the rear aerofoil.

Like the exterior, the distinctive gullwing doors differ only slightly from that of the standard-production model. Inside, AMG sports bucket seats with black leather upholstery and six-point seat belts ensure optimum lateral support. 2010 Mercedes-Benz E 300 BlueTEC HYBRID



Mercedes-Benz has revealed the first diesel hybrid from its E class model, Mercedes-Benz E 300 BlueTEC HYBRID. Introduced with a refined performance with simultaneously low consumption, the E 300 BlueTEC HYBRID is another demonstration of Mercedes-Benz ability to build efficient vehicles.

With a combined output of 165 kW (224 hp), the E 300 BlueTEC HYBRID consumes 4.1 l/100 km with CO2 emissions of 109 g/km (of 0.48 grams per hp). Its 15 kW electric motor facilitates electric-only driving and supports the 150 kW (204 hp) four-cylinder diesel engine under acceleration (boost effect). The E 300 BlueTEC HYBRID has already successfully entered everyday testing and is scheduled for market launch next year.

2010 Vorsteiner Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Aero Package



Vorsteiner is proud to announce the arrival of the Mercedes Benz C63 AMG Aero Package. Respectfully following the CLK Black’s heritage, the C63 AMG Aero Package has been thoroughly designed and tested to meet Vorsteiner standards of quality, both in style and performance.

Having created every component in the C63 AMG Aero package using aerospace autoclave system which utilizes a resin pre-impregnated and vacuum-formed carbon fiber, Vorsteiner made the car up to 30% stiffer and stronger when compared to an equivalent wet-lay product.





Further, Vorsteiner has set the C63 AMG front spoiler by borrowing accents from the CLK Black Series, developed the carbon fiber rear spoiler with an addition of downforce, and enhanced the C63 AMG rear diffuser with a central vent. Besides, Vorsteiner has also fitted the C63 AMG with the Vorsteiner V-101 Monoblock forged wheel featuring 8 twin spoke mesh extending out to the edge of the wheel.
