2010 BMW Z4 GT3

BMW Motorsport has officially launched the new BMW Z4 GT3 in early March and had completed the first test at the same unit. With a long hood, wheel arches are lit, the long wheelbase and narrow projection, Roadster BMW engineers were given a good basis for development which is close to GT3 racing car production. Based on a series concept, the front axle of the BMW Z4 GT3 is equipped with a tubular stabilizer bar with adjustable blades that comes as a completely new design. As with the series version of the BMW Z4, the rear axle is designed as a longitudinal link axle. Front and rear wings, bonnet, roof, fender and many other components are made of carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP), making the GT3 1,200 kilograms lighter.



The fitting of the V8 engine had a considerable influence on the development of the BMW Z4 GT3. The largest difference between production and racing car, however, lies under the bonnet. The production version of the BMW Z4 is driven by a six-cylinder engine, while the GT3 is powered by a 4.0-liter eight-cylinder engine, which produces over 480 bhp.

Electronically, the GT3 engine management of is controlled by the modern ECU408, while the Power400 electronic control unit is responsible for controlling all the actuators. The power is transmitted through a six-speed, sequential gearbox with “Quick Shift” function. As with all cars in the BMW customer racing range, cost-efficiency was also the emphasis in the GT3 development. 2010 G-Power BMW 760i Storm

G-POWER, a company well known on modifying the BMW M models, has presently focused on the BMW flagship in the luxury segment and developed an overall concept to adjust aerodynamics, rims and increase engine performance. G-Power BMW 760i Storm is an impressive example for the performance of the G-POWER manufactory which now closes a gap in the BMW program.

The core part of the G-POWER performance enhancement for the 6,0l V12 bi-turbo engine is a substantial modification of both “TwinPower” turbo chargers used by BMW. The wheel houses of the BMW 760i are filled with forged three-part G-POWER SILVERSTONE RS aluminum wheels measuring 9.5×22 and 10.5×22 inches which are equipped with the Michelin tyres in the dimensions 265/30 ZR 22 at the front axle and 295/25 ZR 22 at the rear axle. The combustion engine is supported by an electrical drive system developed specifically for this model and arranged in compact dimensions between the straight-six combustion engine and the automatic transmission. Drawing its energy from a high-voltage, the electric motor develops maximum output of 40 kW.

Unlike conventional hybrid, by combining the combustion engine and the electric motor, both the BMW ActiveHybrid X6 and the BMW ActiveHybrid 7 are able to offer significantly lower fuel consumption and emission ratings also at higher speeds.
