2010 Audi A1 Worthersee Tour

Audi's new A1 is playing a leading role in 29th Wörthersee Tour in Reifnitz (Carinthia), Austria. innovative design of the film adhesive, paint and exterior finish vibrant add-on parts and interiors that match will change the total of seven new compact car model in a spectacular theme vehicle. Audi has developed seven different models to look at the Wörthersee, including sports model "FC Bayern" look. The 1.4 TFSI Audi A1 shows the design possibilities offered add-on parts, special paint finish and adhesive films.

The A1 “competition kit” with the “legends interior plus” package, for example, is strongly based on the Audi rally vehicles from the 1980s. In addition to exterior visual cues such as the Amalfi White paint finish and the original colors of the Urquattro (Begonia Red, Stone Gray and Gray Brown), the interior also evokes memories of the racing successes racked up by quattro technology, which is celebrating its 30th birthday. The center console, the door handles, the rearview mirror – the rally design with the bold Number 1 extends thematically throughout the entire cabin. The “competition kit legends interior” and “competition kit legends interior plus” accessory packages are precisely matched to the exterior and, in contrast to the other motto vehicles, will also be available directly from the factory or in classic After Sales from Audi Genuine Accessories immediately upon market launch.

The “Follow Me” design in Citrus Yellow with a black checkerboard pattern resembles airport ground control vehicles and features complex color gradients that extend to the bicolor wheels. The “Hot Rod” model boasts a matt-finish look and extremely low ride height thanks to the air suspension. Complementing this look are steel wheels with white-wall tires in keeping with the classic hot rod style.

The design team has also given a friendly wink to the local water rescue service and “toll sticker collectors,” paying them homage with the “Wasserwacht” and “Pickerljäger” A1 special editions, respectively. The seventh special model in an offbeat eggplant purple tone is described by the Audi designers as the “Fashion” edition. Two production models of the Audi A1 are also at the Wörthersee, of course. The A1 1.4 TFSI in Misano Red with a dark gray contrast arch is joined at the Audi stand by the A1 1.6 TDI in summery Scuba Blue.

With the A1 “competition kit legends interior plus” presented at the 29th Wörthersee Tour, Audi Genuine Accessories (AOZ) offers customers the opportunity to underscore the individuality of their vehicle with innovative adhesive filmdecals, vibrant paint finishes as well as exterior add-on parts and a matching interior.

2010 Audi A8 L W12 Quattro

Audi A8 L W12 quattro, with a long wheelbase and twelve-cylinder engine, set a new standard of luxury, dynamism and efficiency in the manufacture of cars from the top league. Audi A8 L will be released with a twelve-cylinder engine, but at the end of the year will be available with all engines currently offered for the A8. 6.3 FSI engine has the output of 368 kW (500 hp) and maximum torque of 625 Nm, giving up (460.98 pounds-feet) at speeds to 3250 rpm motor. This gives the long wheelbase Audi A8 type of performance normally expected of a sports car: it accelerates from 0-100 km / h (62.14 mph) in just 4.9 seconds and easily reach a maximum speed of 250 km / h (155.34 mph ).

The engine is known as the W12 because of its unusual layout: it has four rows of three cylinders with a 15-degree included angle between the two offset rows of cylinders in each broad cylinder block. The V angle between the two blocks is 72 degrees. This layout makes the W12 engine exceptionally compact: only just over 50 centimeters (19.69 in) long and therefore distinctly shorter than a V8. Height and width are both in the region of 70 centimeters (27.56 in).

The W12, in its latest form with a displacement of 6,299 cc, is an undersquare design. Its bore and stroke are 86.0 and 90.4 millimeters (3.39 x 3.56 in) respectively. Compared with the previous version the engineers have enlarged the cylinder bore. The forged crankshaft has a 12-degree angle of crankpin offset, so that the mixture in the 12 cylinders is ignited at the ideal interval of 60 degrees. The engine therefore runs exceptionally smoothly, and the car’s occupants are unlikely to sense any of this supreme power at work unless it is at high engine speeds and severe loads. The Audi A8 L W12 quattro runs on 19-inch alloy wheels with a 15-spoke design reserved for this model, and size 255/45 tires. As an optional extra 20-inch wheels can be chosen, and even 21-inch wheels can be obtained from quattro GmbH.

2010 Audi A8 Hybrid

Audi A8 hybrid was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show 80 months ago. Audi A8 is a hybrid concept which combines gasoline direct injection technology with a turbocharger and valve lift Audi's AVS system, which regulates the valve lift in two stages. Four-cylinder technology has been named "Engine of the Year" five times since 2005. Audi A8 Hybrid is powered by two propulsion units of a 2.0 TFSI and an electric motor. The motor develops a total output of 180 kW (245 hp) of system power and 480 Nm (354.03 lb-ft) of torque, and as a result, the A8 hybrid can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds (62.14 mph). The A8’s top speed is 235 km/h (146.02 mph) with average fuel consumption 6.2 liters (37.94 US mpg) per 100 km and CO2 equivalent 144 grams per km (231.75 g/mile).

The Audi A8 hybrid’s energy storage system of is mounted in the rear section. The storage is protected by a high-strength housing and a ventilation module that ensures the ideal temperature range. Several subsystems that operate on engine power in a conventional car have been modified right from the start for use in the Audi A8 hybrid.

The design of the Audi A8 hybrid presents an exterior paint in “Prism Silver” with “Spectra Flair” as an accent color – a rainbow effect that’s accentuated in reflected light along creases and seams on the body. Moreover, the A8 is fitted with 21-inch, two-colour wheel rims styled with highly three-dimensional surface areas, engine compartment cover set in a high-gloss finish, prominently located “hybrid” lettering on both front fenders, low horizontal spoiler edge and a chrome strip, and the illuminated doorsteps bear the “hybrid” insignia.

2010 Audi A1 e-Tron

Audi has unveiled the new e-tron model series at the 80th Geneva Motor Show. The Audi A1 e-tron, a Mega City Vehicle (MCV) equipped with a powerful electric motor for zero-emission driving in the city and an internal combustion engine on board that recharges the battery in exceptional circumstances.

The first e-tron, which debuted at the 2009 IAA in Frankfurt/Main, is a near-series high-performance sports car with electric motors for all four wheels. The A1 e-tron now presents another approach, a compact electric car in the premium class, designed specifically for use in the metropolitan areas of Europe and North America.

Equipped with a 380 volt lithium-ion rechargeable battery with a nominal energy content of 12 kilowatt hours, the Audi A1 e-tron can drive 50 kilometers (31.07 miles) emission-free in city traffic on the powerful battery. On longer trips, the battery is recharged by a particularly compact internal combustion engine mounted below the luggage compartment. With its range extender, the Audi A1 e-tron can also cover longer distances. The extra range, which is intended primarily for interurban driving, is 200 kilometers (124.27 miles).

The electric motor of the Audi A1 e-tron, which is mounted transversely at the front of the car, sends its power to the front wheels via a single-speed transmission. Its continuous output is rated at 45 kW (61 hp), with peak power of 75 kW (102 hp) available in short bursts. 150 Nm (110.63 lb-ft) of torque is continuously available, and peak torque is 240 Nm (177.01 lb-ft). The Audi A1 e-tron always drives on electric power, since its internal combustion engine is only used to recharge the battery in isolated cases.

The concept of the Mega City Vehicle also requires the electrification of key auxiliaries. The refrigerant compressor of the climate control system, for example, is electrically powered by a high-voltage electric motor that supplies only the amount of power needed at the time.

The Audi A1 e-tron, has a special “Aqua Mint, pearl effect” paint finish with a contrasting roof arch which is offset in “High Gloss Steel dark.” As with the other two e-tron models, the A1 e-tron is fitted with 18-inch wheels with a 20-spoke turbine design and rear diffuser with aluminum trim lacks tailpipes. In addition, the “Aqua Mint, pearl effect” exterior color also carries over into the interior.
