2010 Switzer Performance P800 Nissan GTR

In a race track, the mass is the enemy. This is what has motivated the owners of the Nissan GTR associated with the Ohio-based performance tuning of the Swiss company, asking to reduce the mass of GTR tuner. Less mass means more in the driver can control brake stopping power curve is greater, and better power / weight also means more miles per hour on straight. Performance of the Swiss team started working on the Super Silver GTR 2010, starting with the P800 proved gaming companies, replacing a car intercoolers, intake, and turbochargers with motor components beat Switzerland GTR 800 hp and 700 lb-ft of torque.

In addition, Switzer Performance fitted featherweight carbon rotors from AP, which cut a considerable amount of unsprung weight and rotating mass from each corner of the GTR, while improving fade resistance. Application-specific pads, high-temperature brake fluid (AP), and stainless steel braided brake lines round out the brake package with improved pedal feel and increase stopping power.

Weight was also cut with the addition of a lightweight (ceramic-coated) titanium exhaust system, dry-carbon decklid, and lightweight sports seats from Bride. Up on the scales, Super Silver 2010 GTR weighed in at a much-improved 3600 lbs. This is enough to make a significant impact on handling, braking, and straight-line speed.

Further, to enhance the handling, Switzer Performance provides the Nissan GTR with a fully-adjustable JRZ suspension system complemented by stiffer adjustable sway bars, an underbody diffuser, and an active-aero wing from Aeromotions. Switzer’s P800 and upgraded cooling packages are also available through Switzer dealers. Contact Switzer Performance for more information on this P800 for Nissan GTR as well as its other performance packages.

2011 Nissan Micra

Combined 25 years’ experience of designing compact cars for city driving, Nissan Motor unveiled the company’s all new Micra, the fourth generation of the iconic city car, at the 80th International Geneva Motor Show. At a glance, Nissan Micra presents new features including spacious interior, all new 3-cylinder petrol engine with supercharged and direct injection version, New Continuously Variable Transmission, and all new platform.

In Europe, a simple engine line-up sees just two engines options and both are variations on Nissan’s all-new naturally aspirated HR12 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine. Inheriting its DNA from the HR16 4-cylinder engine powering the Note and Qashqai, the new Micra engine employs valve-timing control (VTC). Power is rated at 59kW (80ps, while torque output is 108Nm.

Both engine options in Europe are available with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or Nissan’s all-new Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). The wide gear coverage enables the 1.2-litre engine to achieve the economy of a 1.0-litre as well as brisk acceleration. In addition, Nissan will also offer a supercharged 1.2-litre direct injection iteration with a start-stop system fitted as standard in Europe.

Retaining its compact dimensions, the new Micra is slightly longer and marginally lower. Mounted onto Nissan’s new signature V-platform, the suspension has been designed to be both compact, minimizing intrusion at the rear for maximum trunk space, but not at the expense of the car’s on-road dynamics. Globally, equipment levels differ by market, but the new Micra is available with some key technological innovations.

Nissan will base production of the new Micra at overseas manufacturing sites such as Thailand, India, Mexico and China. Sales of the new Micra will start in Thailand in March and European sales will begin in November this year.

2010 Nissan Juke

2010 Nissan Juke, which was firstly revealed as the Qazana show car and unveiled at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, is a new Juke coming with several refinement at the appearance and mostly at the engine and drivetrain system. Juke was created at the London-based Nissan Design Europe and refined at Nissan Design Centre (NDC) in Japan.

2010 Nissan Juke’s has a dimension of 4135mm long, 1765mm wide and 1570mm tall, with a 2530mm wheelbase. Juke uses 17-inch wheels and 215/55 R17 tyres with front and rear track 1525mm. Juke’s body is curvaceous and coupĂ©-like profile, but with big wheels and tyres, high waistline and broad shoulder line, the car appears to be pure SUV. The impression is accentuated by typical SUV features such as the contrasting black sill and wheel arch finishers. Moreover, to give alternative appearances, Juke has an option of a nine color palette for exterior with total availability depended on region.

At the engines and drivetrains system, the most significant change has been the development of a dual injector system which has two injectors for each cylinder. The normally aspirated petrol engine powers (two-wheel drive versions only, which will be available with either the five-speed manual or the updated XTRONIC CVT transmission option), is completed with a different CVT transmission with the DIG engine.

In addition, another engine choice is also available, an Alliance developed K9K 1.5-litre dCi turbocharged common rail 1,461cc 8-valve diesel engine. The diesel will be available on two-wheel drive models with the six-speed manual transmission (for Europe, all the engines are fully Euro 5 compliant).

Juke will also be available with the option of four-wheel drive, a newly developed all-wheel drive system based on Nissan’s ALL-MODE 4×4-i electronic technology with a lateral torque-vectoring capability.

2010 Nissan Juke will be marketed in Europe, Japan and the United States and the sales will come largely from the B-segment and is also expecting to attract C-segment customers.
